Walking on the Waters of Life

Wednesday, 20. May 2009

Walking by faith. Walking in the Spirit. Walking with God. All of these terms have been used by Christians since the beginning, to indicate a walk in life that is in step with God. It signifies a surrendered life. But, more than that, it strongly implies that one is walking above the ordinary level of  living. It says that such a person is walking through this life unafraid, not cowering before the hurricanes of life, and instead, doing something truly miraculous: walking on the waters of life. The following is a lesson that looks closely at the only man, besides Jesus, who walked on water. Later, Peter would walk with God as few men ever did. He walked miraculously, doing great things for God, in spite of his uneducated and unsophisticated ways. Step into the classroom for about 20 minutes. You will learn some things about Peter’s experience you never knew.
